#1 Facebook Ads That Have Dark Posts


We are told over and over again how important it is to have a presence on social media that the concept of dark Facebook posts seems contradictory. However, some of the top brands have learned how to enjoy success by publishing a post that does not appear on the newsfeed of their fans until they convert it into an advertisement. This is an excellent way to run two tests before you go widespread with a public post. Testing an ad with a dark post can help you to get more out of your Facebook ad budget.

#2 Influence the Friends of Your Twitter Followers


If you offer a great deal or discount your followers are going to share it with their friends. This is a great way to expand your reach. To help drive the sharing factor you can offer something free or discounted to the friend of the follower. For example, Starbucks offers friends of followers a 2 for 1 deal. This encourages sharing.

#3 Join Conversations that are Relevant


It can be hard for a brand to take a stand on a particular issue without the worry of alienating some of their customers. By sharing public conversations that you feel are relevant you give your customer the option of reading/watching without directly engaging the subject. This has less risk for you and your business. Do reply to conversations relevant to your business that won’t make your customer feel alienated or uncomfortable.

#4 Keep it Brief


Did you know that the perfect Facebook update length is less than 40 characters even though you can use 63,000. Many of the largest companies follow this rule of thumb and enjoy great success, so perhaps now is a good time to take note. A good post will have minimal characters but be highly effective and engaging. Don’t be afraid to experiment and find your ‘sweet spot.’

#5 Launch New Products Using Social Media


If you have something you want to promote or a new product your social media audience is your best option. Your followers are likely to share your post on Facebook and across other social medias.

Were you aware of any of these 5 things? You are now, so put them to work.

Not Everyone is Your Customer.

Seth Godin - he of Wordpress fame - said this and he is so true.

The very first job you need to do when you set up your business (indeed some would say even before that!) is to define who your customer actually is.
Build an avatar of your perfect customer.
  • What age are they?
  • What gender are they?
  • What kind of job do they do?
  • What part of the world do they live in?
  • What is their marital status?
  • Do they have kids?
  • What problems do they have?
  • What dreams are they not reaching?
  • and many more...
This is absolutely vital as without this avatar you are only going to be able to run a scattergun approach when advertising. Or as someone once said to me "like throwing a wellington up the high street!"

The next question you need to ask is
  • where do they hang out?
  • do they hang out on social media? if so, which platforms?
  • do they frequent forums regularly?
  • are they in groups on Facebook or LinkedIn?
Once you have these pieces of information written down and laminated so that you never forget them, you need to work out why they should buy from you!

What Makes You Different?

Whether you are supplying a service or selling a product you need to make sure that you have a USP (Unique Selling Proposition). What is it that makes you different from the 1001 other cookie cutter manufacturers out there for example!!

  • Is it that nobody else does what you do?
  • Is it that you have far more experience than anyone else in your industry?
  • Are you the cheapest?
  • Is your product made from something that nobody elses is?
By doing these things you can then communicate to them - whether that is by email, phone, advertising or whatever - as if they were one person. You do not have to think about how to communicate to different types of people.

So, as you can see, Not Everyone is Your Customer!

The issue is that, how do you get on Instagram and acquire followers that will become your loyal customers. I will be showing you how to do that in the following steps and guidelines
1. Signup with Facebook: This is the most easiest and quickest way to set up your Instagram account. It will automatically allow you to follow your friends that are already on Instagram and in turn they will follow you too. Your friends and family will be the first followers on Instagram which will help boost your profile and get you ready for the main deal
2. Quality Photos: the most important thing on Instagram is the quality of your photos, make sure your photos are of high quality before posting them on Instagram.
